Going out to eat with a baby is no small feat. You pack the diaper bag, navigate the subway, hope there's an elevator, and just when you think you've made it, you still have to figure out how to physically eat while holding a newborn.
High chairs only work once a baby can sit up on their own. So what are parents with a baby fresh out the womb supposed to do? In New York, the problem is made worse by the notoriously narrow dining rooms most restaurants are working with. Strollers, especially the larger ones that accommodate a bassinet attachment, are rarely welcome at the table.
So we asked the Let's Go Baby community and found 16 spots across the city that typically allow strollers at the table. We say 'typically' with a big caveat: it's often dictated by how busy the restaurant is on any given day. When in doubt, add a note when booking your reservation.
